Shogun Assassin was made especially for #LowRezJam, hosted by Gamejolt and placed in the top 50. You can find the jam entry here.
#LowRezJam was a game jam from mid-2014, in which the goal was to make a game that could be played in a resolution of 32 x 32 pixels.
Play as Itto Ogami and his son, Diagoro, and cut a bloody path as you quest for revenge for your wife’s murder. Somewhat inspired by character action games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, but if they were made for the Atari.
The majority of work for this game was done within a week, using GameMaker: Studio, FL Studio, SFXR and Photoshop. If you’re interested in reading the post-mortem for this game, you can find it on the blog here.
